
Boles Named OVC Track and Freshman Athlete of the Week

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.- Following strong performances at the indoor Music City Challenge, University of Tennessee at Martin track and field standout Isaac Boles brought home Ohio Valley Conference Male Track and Freshman Athlete of the Week honors.

The Murfreesboro, Tenn. native set the school record in the 60-meter hurdles for the third time this season with a time of 7.92. That mark helped him earn first place in the first round of the 60m hurdles while also becoming the best time in the OVC.

He tallied a personal best in the 200m (22.62) and was a part of the 4x400m team (Boles, Tobias Tanui, Khalid White and Tristen Bough) that set the school record (3:17.75) on Saturday.

Boles and the Skyhawks will now focus on the final indoor meet of the regular season at the Redhawks Open on Friday, Feb. 20 in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
