BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The University of Tennessee at Martin track and field teams showed out in the season opener with several podium finishes, four school records and a plethora of personal bests.

Notable Performers from the UAB Blazer Meet

Abbie Lloyd bested her pole vault school record with a mark of 2.93m to start the year strong.
Morgan Mitchell fired off a school record time of 42.26 in the 300m.
Ridge Bruce notched an indoor PR in the 3k (9:04.50).
Gatsby Losse raced his way to a PR (36.90) in the 300m.

Notable Performers from the UAB Vulcan Meet

Lloyd topped her school record in the pole vault again, this time with a 3.08m leap.
In his first collegiate meet, Isaac Boles broke the school record in the 60m hurdles with a second place finish and a time of 8.15 seconds.
Mitchell captured a new indoor PR in the 400m (59.79).
Luke Johnson began his track and field season with a PR (4:17.83) and third place finish in the mile.
Angus Monro took second in the 3k competition crossing the finish line at 8:26.89.
David Stukey garnered UT Martin's first victory of the year from a PR of 8:25.11 in the 3k.
Maggie Roy got her senior season started with a PR in the 3k (10:20.98).
Reese Settle earned herself a PR in the mile race (5:16.59).
Malik Smith set a PR in the shot put with a toss of 11.82m.
Charlotte Cones captured a PR in the mile (5:26.99).

The Skyhawks will now gear up for the Vanderbilt Invitational which is set for Jan. 16-17.
