
Josiah Tingley Named To OVC-Big South All-Academic Team

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – University of Tennessee at Martin standout Josiah Tingley added to his postseason honors by being named to the 2025 OVC-Big South Football Association All-Academic Team.
Each school nominated one individual, with at least a 3.0 GPA, for inclusion on the All-Academic Team. To be considered for Scholar-Athlete of the Year, which was voted on by the Association communications directors, the nominees had to have at least a 3.30 GPA.
A native of Cordova, Tenn., Tingley graduated with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a 3.33 GPA. He is currently pursuing a master's in business administration while possessing a 3.86 GPA. On the field, the offensive center ranked third nationally with 36 consecutive games started while wrapping up a stellar career which featured four conference championship, two postseason victories and a pair of all-conference honors.
Joining Tingley on the All-Academic Team was Malik McKinzie (Charleston Southern), Tienne Fridge (Eastern Illinois), Cole Pennington (Gardner-Webb), Gavin Hulet (Lindenwood), Jax Leatherwood (Southeast Missouri), Jaylon Price (Tennessee State), Logan Weedman (Tennessee Tech) and Christian Pierce (Western Illinois). Charleston Southern's McKinzie was named the 2025 OVC-Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
