Skyhawks Fall To Alaska-Fairbanks

MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin rifle team fell to Alaska-Fairbanks Sunday at the Skyhawks Rifle Range, 4714-4627.
The Skyhawks shot a 2293 in smallbore, followed by a 2334 in air rifle. Joey Kovach led UT Martin in smallbore at 578, while Sophia Ashford led in air rifle at 587, with the duo tying for the highest aggregate score at 1163.
Rachel Haines tied her career-high in smallbore Sunday at 570, while Olivia Harvey set new career bests in air rifle and aggregate scoring at 583 and 1152, respectively.
UT Martin will take a two-week break before traveling to Jacksonville State for a shoulder-to-shoulder with the Gamecocks on Nov. 21, followed by the Gamecock Open on Nov. 22.
