Skyhawks Turn In Strong Showing at Jacksonville State

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The University of Tennessee at Martin rifle team shot a 2290 smallbore and a 2331 air rifle Friday at the Gamecock Rifle Range in Jacksonville, but ultimately fell to host Jacksonville State, 4698-4621.
Liam Tegeler led the way for UT Martin in smallbore at 578, while Aubrey Chenoweth shot a season-best 572, followed by Olivia Harvey. In air rifle, Sophia Ashford had a team-high 589 with Chenoweth turning in another season-high at 587. Tegeler also turned in a strong performance with a 581. Tegeler and Chenoweth tied for the highest aggregate on the day at 1159 with Ashford just behind at 1158.
UT Martin returns to action in Jacksonville Saturday for the annual Gamecock Open beginning at 9 a.m.
