
Skyhawk Soccer To Wrap Up Home Non-Conference Schedule With Northern Iowa on Sunday

MARTIN, Tenn.- The University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team will wrap up the home portion of its non-conference schedule this Sunday, Sept. 8 at 1 p.m. with Missouri Valley Conference foe Northern Iowa.

The Skyhawks (1-3-2) will carry in an unbeaten home record to Sunday afternoon after a 0-0 draw to Southern Illinois (Aug. 18) and then a 2-1 triumph over Indiana State (Aug. 29). UT Martin tops the Ohio Valley Conference in shots (75), shots per game (12.50) and shots on goal (34).

Four different Skyhawks have found the back of the net through the first six matches as Izzy Patterson, Makayla Robinson, Brooke Kala and Unni Wolf have been active on the attack. Additionally, Patterson (20 shots) and Peyton Cook (17 shots, one assist) are in the OVC's top-five in shots taken.

Goalkeeper Mac Titus has snared 39 shots (second in the OVC) for an average of 6.50 saves per match. On defense, Parker Gelinas and Shayla Addington have played in each minute (540 minutes) of the six contests UT Martin has played in this season.

Northern Iowa (4-1-1) will be the fourth Missouri Valley Conference opponent the Skyhawks will have faced in 2024. The Panthers are second in the MVC in goals scored (18) this year with Olivia Knoepfle scoring a team-best four goals. Knoepfle, Morgan Barnette, and Maddie Eastus lead the team in assists (two) while Eastus paces the team with 18 shot attempts (six shots on goal).
