- Last week, the Skyhawks wrapped up play in the Rainbow Wahine Showdown in Honolulu, Hawai'i. While in the Aloha State, UT Martin faced stiff competition falling No. 1 UCLA, 97-37 to open the tournament. The Skyhawks then fell to host Hawai'i, 47-39, before closing out play in the showdown with an overtime loss to Fresno State, 75-66.
 - Anaya Brown led the Skyhawks while In Hawai'i with 10.0 point and 4.3 rebounds per game. Shae Littleford was next in line for UT Martin with 7.7 points per game, while Kenley McCarn and Daejah RIchmond averaged 7.3 points each.
 - Butler enters Tuesday's contest at at 7-2 overall after going 2-1 in last week's Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Florida. The only loss for the Bulldogs in the Sunshine State was to No. 5 Texas, while picking up wins over Santa Clara and Boise State.
