UT Martin Set To Host OVC Cross Country Championships On Friday

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.- The 2024 Ohio Valley Conference Cross Country Championship will be run on Friday at the campus of the University of Tennessee at Martin. The women's 6K race will begin at 9 a.m. CT and be followed by the men's 8K race at 10 a.m. CT.
For the first time the Championship has moved off its traditional Saturday date and will now be held on a Friday to align with the NCAA Regionals schedule. It marks the first time UT Martin has hosted the event in west Tennessee since 2004 (they hosted the 2014 event in Oxford, Alabama).
This will be the 64th OVC men's championship, as the first one was held in 1962; the women's championship will be determined for the 46th time this year.
The meet is free and open to the public.
The OVC Athletes and Freshmen of the Year, which are determined by coaches vote, will be announced on Thursday. The Coach of the Year, Athletes of the Championship and All-OVC honors will be presented following Friday's Championship.
