SKYHAWK SOCCER TO HOST LITTLE ROCK ON SUNDAY

MARTIN, Tenn.- For the first time in 21 days, the University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team will play at Skyhawk Field when they host the Little Rock Trojans on Sunday, Sept. 24^th at 1 p.m.

UT Martin (3-6-1, 0-1) is coming off its fifth straight road game which resulted in a 2-0 setback to Morehead State in the Ohio Valley Conference opener.

The Skyhawks and Trojans met twice during the 2022 campaign with Little Rock (3-2-5, 0-1-1) coming away with the win in the regular season before UT Martin bested the Trojans in the first round of the OVC Soccer Championships in Morehead, Ky.

Makayla Robinson is tied for second in goals scored (3) in the OVC while graduate Catey Hunt is tied for first in game-winning goals (2). With two assists on the season, redshirt freshman Caroline Moore paces the team in that category in her first year at UT Martin.

On defense, goalkeeper Poppy Bastock has stopped 44 shots while averaging 4.89 saves a match. Sophomore Shayla Addington has been a force with 888 minutes tallied in 10 contests.

Little Rock's Karina De Paoli leads the OVC in goals scored (4) and ranks tied for second in points (8). As a team, the Trojans hold the top spot in most goals scored in the conference (13) and trail only Morehead State in shots (102). In its last match, Little Rock earned a point in the standings with a 0-0 draw at home against Southern Indiana.
