
UT MARTIN ONCE AGAIN VOTED 10TH IN NATIONAL COLLEGIATE EQUESTRIAN ASSOCIATION RANKINGS

WACO, Texas – There were no changes in this week's National Collegiate Equestrian Association top-10 poll as the University of Tennessee at Martin remained in the 10th slot.
TCU is still No. 1 and is followed by No. 2 Auburn, No. 3 SMU, No. 4 Texas A&M, No. 5 Georgia, No. 6 Oklahoma State, No. 7 South Carolina, No. 8 Baylor, No. 9 UC Davis and the No. 10 Skyhawks.
UT Martin is coming off a pair of hard-fought home efforts last week, falling 12-7 to No. 1 TCU last Friday and 14-5 to No. 5 Georgia on Saturday.
The Skyhawks dominated the reining portion of both meets, securing six wins and a tie while Kate Davis (TCU) and Emma Schaefer (Georgia) garnered MOP accolades. Schaefer was 2-0 over the weekend while Davis, Lexi Bailey, Aubrey Malone and Logan Putvinski tacked on a victory as the squad combined for a 69.0 scoring average.
In fences, Haley Kane managed two of UT Martin's three victories while the Skyhawks additionally produced one tie. Sydney Hott also posted a victory in the event as UT Martin recorded a 81.8 scoring average.
The Skyhawks combined for a 79.8 scoring average in flat, headed by victories from Hott and Sophia Sundem.
Bailey accounted for a victory in horsemanship while managing a team scoring average of 73.0 points over the weekend.
Ranked 10th in seven consecutive NCEA polls, UT Martin is off until Nov. 17-18 when it travels to Felton, Del. for matchups against No. 8 Baylor and Delaware State.
