UT MARTIN FOOTBALL COMPLETES 2021 RECRUITING CLASS WITH THE ADDITION OF 16 TO PROGRAM
2/3/2021 5:46:00 PM | Football
Seven states are represented among the group, including five from Alabama, three from both Mississippi and Tennessee, two from Iowa along with one each from Arkansas, Florida and Georgia.
With his 16th signing class at UT Martin, Simpson focused on skill positions primarily on the offensive side of the ball while filling holes on both the offensive and defensive line. The class boasts two quarterbacks, two running backs, four wide receivers, one tight end, three offensive linemen, three defensive linemen and one safety.
"We felt like this class added a lot of depth to our program," Simpson said. "On defense we wanted to add some depth and that was the plan while on offense we looked to beef up our skill players. It was very difficult to find the proper holes to fill with all of our returning players and the uncertainty that was the fall season. We are very pleased with the talent level of the group, especially with some of the guys that we added at the break which can come in and be really good players for us right away."
