
UT MARTIN’S SHADOW NAMED NCEA’S TOP-10 HORSE FOR 2019-20 HORSEMANSHIP CAMPAIGN

WACO, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association released its top-10 horses in all four events of the 2019-20 season today and the University of Tennessee at Martin's "Shadow" made the list in horsemanship.
Shadow, whose full name is "Oh So Shadowy", is a 1999 bay mare that was donated to the UT Martin equestrian program in 2014 by Yvette Schmucker from Syracuse, Ind.
As part of UT Martin's home competitions this season, Shadow was used 14 times in horsemanship and generated an average score of 74 points with a pair of MOP performances. She joins horses from Auburn, Baylor, Fresno State, Georgia, Oklahoma State, SMU, South Carolina, South Dakota State, TCU and Texas A&M on the prestigious horsemanship list.
Shadow is the first UT Martin horse to receive NCEA top-10 honors since Dawson (fences and flat) and Maximus (fences) in 2018.
