
UT MARTIN CROSS COUNTRY TO OPEN FIRST OF SIX-RACE SCHEDULE ON FRIDAY

MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin cross country program will compete in six races during the 2019 season, beginning on Friday, Aug. 30.
Both the men's and women's programs will compete in a full slate with four regular season meets before the Ohio Valley Conference Championship and NCAA South Region Championship.
UT Martin will begin the season on Friday, Aug. 30 when competing at the Tennessee Tri-Stars Cross Country Challenge in Knoxville, Tenn. The men's race will be held at 8 a.m. with the women's to follow at 8:45 p.m. CST.
The Skyhawks will then travel to Edwardsville, Ill. on Friday, Sept. 13 to compete in the John Flamer Invitational. The women's race will be held at 5:30 p.m. with the men's race to follow at 6:15 p.m.
UT Martin will compete twice in the month of October beginning at the Chile Pepper Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark on Saturday, Oct. 5. From there the squad will travel to the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday, Oct. 18 in Peoria, Ill.
The Skyhawks will look to make waves at the OVC Championship held in Edwardsville, Ill. on Saturday, Nov. 2. before capping the season at the NCAA South Region Championship on Friday, Nov. 15 in Tallahassee, Fla.
