SKYHAWK EQUESTRIAN PRODUCES 15 FARNAM NCEA ALL-ACADEMIC/APHA ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL RECIPIENTS

WACO, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association unveiled its 2018-19 Academic honorees today as 11 University of Tennessee at Martin student-athletes found themselves on the list, combining for 15 total awards on the Farnam All-Academic Team and the APHA Academic Honor Roll.
Tess Baumann (first team and honor roll), Jade Bleskey (honor roll), Lucy Eier (first team and honor roll), Sammi Felts (honorable mention and honor roll), Sydney Lintner (honor roll), Hannah McDonald (first team), Noel Meadows (honorable mention), Savannah Metheny (honor roll), Mackenzie Palmer (honor roll), Johnie Parker (honor roll) and Devon Woods (first team and honor roll) were each recognized for their academic success. These same 11 were also spotlighted as United Equestrian Conference academic team honorees last month.
In order to qualify for the All-Academic first team, a rider must have competed in a minimum of 70 percent of her school's meets, not including demo or exhibition rides. She must also earn a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.5 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters, respectively.
The All-Academic second team features riders who must have competed in a minimum of 60 percent of her school's meets (not including demo or exhibition rides) and earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters, respectively.
To make the All-Academic honorable mention list, a rider must have competed in 50 percent of her school's meets, not including demo or exhibition rides. The student-athlete additionally must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters, respectively.
In order to make the academic honor roll list, a student-athlete must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters, respectively.
