
EMANYE ROBERTSON TABBED NATIONAL MID-MAJOR PLAYER OF THE WEEK ALONG WITH OVC AND TSWA WEEKLY HONORS

MARTIN, Tenn. – Senior guard Emanye Robertson for the University of Tennessee at Martin women's basketball team was recognized her for impressive play in the final week of the regular season by being named the National Mid-Major Player of the Week by College Sports Madness along with earning her first career adidas Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week and Tennessee Sports Writers Association Player of the Week honor.
A native of Memphis, Robertson put on a show in her final contests inside the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center, averaging 26.0 points, 7.0 assists, 4.0 steals and 2.5 rebounds per game for the week. Along with her scoring output, she shot an impressive 53.1 percent (17-of-32) from the floor and 94.1 percent (16-of-17) from the free throw line.
Robertson showed her versatility against Belmont where she not only scored 24 points, tallied six assists, four rebounds and four steals. Highlighting her big day was a game-winning jumper in overtime while sealing the victory with a block on the Bruins final shot attempt. She then returned to tally 28 points, eight assists and four steals on her Senior Day against Tennessee State.
The Skyhawks and Robertson will open their quest for an OVC Basketball Championship on Thursday, March 7 against sixth-seeded Murray State at 3 p.m.
