
SKYHAWK EQUESTRIAN ONCE AGAIN RANKED NO. 10 IN LATEST NCEA FARNAM TEAM POLL

WACO, Texas – For the sixth straight week, the University of Tennessee at Martin appears at No. 10 in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association Farnam top-10 rankings, which were unveiled this afternoon.
The No. 10 Skyhawks entered the national rankings on Feb. 5 and have stayed at No. 10 throughout their tenure in the polls. UT Martin has not competed in an official setting since a 14-2 exhibition triumph against Mississippi State on Feb. 10.
The Skyhawks have established themselves as one of the best in the nation behind a well-rounded attack. Of UT Martin's 65 individual wins this season, 33 have come in the Western discipline while 32 have been registered by the Hunter Seat discipline. An evenly split 20 MOP's have been awarded amongst both the Western and Hunter Seat discipline so far for the Skyhawks in 2018-19.
Auburn reclaimed its No. 1 spot in today's rankings while Texas A&M came in at No. 2. Oklahoma State was No. 3 and was followed by No. 4 Baylor, No. 5 South Carolina, No. 6 SMU, No. 7 TCU, No. 8 Georgia, No. 9 Fresno State and No. 10 UT Martin.
The Skyhawks begin a busy 10-day stretch this Thursday, March 14 when they host Miami (Ohio) for a Senior Day exhibition. The following week, UT Martin hosts SMU, Delaware State, Fresno State and South Dakota State for the 2019 United Equestrian Conference championship tournament, which will take place at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Pavilion on March 21-23.
