
UT MARTIN TRACK OPENS INDOOR SEASON AT SALUKI FAST START

CARBONDALE, Ill. – While the full indoor track slate will resume in January, the University of Tennessee at Martin track squads opened competition on Saturday at the Saluki Fast Start in the SIU Recreation Center.
In the team's first competition under first-year head coach Jolyta Henderson, the Skyhawks saw several PRs against some of the region's top programs.
Action got underway with Anndrea Chester posting a PR in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.45 seconds. She then returned action by placing seventh overall in the open 400m at 1:02.04.
Rounding out the top highlights for the Skyhawks was the performance by Addison Taylor in which she posted a PR in the open 200m with a time of 27.2 seconds.
UT Martin will take a hiatus for the season before returning to action on January 18 at the John Craft Invite.

Colby Martin was strong in his Skyhawk debut, posting a time of 7.17 seconds in the open 60m while fellow newcomer Myann Davidson posted a PR of her own in the 60m dash with a time of 8.04 seconds.First Indoor Meet Recap:
