
SKYHAWKS CHECK IN AT NO. 10 ONCE AGAIN IN NATIONAL COLLEGIATE EQUESTRIAN ASSOCIATION POLL

MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin remained 10th in today's National Collegiate Equestrian Association Farnam team rankings, marking the third consecutive week that the Skyhawks were slotted at No. 10.
Auburn reclaimed its spot at No. 1 while Texas A&M, Georgia, TCU and Oklahoma State rounded out the top-five in that order. Also earning national rankings this week were No. 6 Fresno State, No. 7 SMU, No. 8 South Carolina, No. 9 Baylor and No. 10 UT Martin.
Today's poll marks the fifth week this season that the Skyhawks have been nationally ranked. UT Martin also earned a No. 10 ranking on Sept. 11, Oct. 1, Oct. 15 and Oct. 22.
The Skyhawks have been off since Oct. 11 and have one remaining competition this fall – a Nov. 15 matchup at current No. 8 South Carolina. It will be the fourth nationally ranked opponent on UT Martin's schedule in 2019-20.
Kelby Kane (fences and flat), Abbie Hopkins (flat), Devon Woods (horsemanship), Paige Benson (horsemanship), Tess Baumann (reining), Noel Meadows (reining) have each claimed MOP status so far this season for the Skyhawks.
The Eastern College Athletic Conference also spotlighted Baumann (Sept. 25, Oct. 15), Hopkins (Sept. 25), Woods (Oct. 15) as its Riders of the Week this season, as UT Martin continues its inaugural season in the ECAC.
