
UT MARTIN’S ALEXIS GRANDYS PICKS UP THIRD OVC FEMALE RUNNER OF THE WEEK HONOR

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Junior University of Tennessee at Martin cross country standout Alexis Grandys earned her third Ohio Valley Conference Female Runner of the Week accolade of the season after an impressive showing at the Bradley Pink Classic.
A native of Yorkville, Ill., Grandys led the Skyhawks by shattering her previous 6k time by nearly two minutes to finish seventh out of 180 competitors at the Bradley Pink Classic. She finished the race in 21:19.3, which is the fastest 6k time in the OVC this season.
Grandys will put her pace to the test on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the OVC Cross Country Championship to be held in Edwardsville, Ill. at 10 a.m.
