MEADOWS COLLECTS UNITED EQUESTRIAN CONFERENCE REINING RIDER OF THE WEEK AWARD

MARTIN, Tenn. – After a season-opening head-to-head victory against her opponent from the No. 1 ranked Auburn Tigers, University of Tennessee at Martin sophomore Noel Meadows has been named United Equestrian Conference Reining Rider of the Week.
Meadows earned her win last Thursday, as her 67 points edged out Auburn's Peyton Hall (65.5) in the home competition against the defending national champions. The Staunton, Va. native had previously been recognized by the UEC last season as its Reining Freshman of the Year as well as an All-Reining mention and a Reining Rider of the Month honor in November 2017.
A 2017-18 Ariat NCEA All-American, Meadows accounts for UT Martin's lone point in reining through just one competition this season.
The Skyhawks will go for their first win of the young season this weekend as they are one of four teams to take part in the Willis Invitational held in Waco, Texas. UT Martin takes on No. 8 Fresno State on Friday, Sept. 28 before finishing out the tournament on Saturday, Sept. 29 against No. 7 Baylor and Delaware State.
