UT MARTIN GOLF FINISHES FIFTH AS CHUMLEY CONTINUES BIRDIE BINGE AT RAISING CANES INTERCOLLEGIATE

RICHMOND, Ky. – Sophomore Tate Chumley continued his strong play in the Raising Canes Intercollegiate as he helped the University of Tennessee at Martin jump up two spots in the final team standings today.

For the third straight round, Chumley equaled his career-best score as he posted a 69 (-1) today. His overall score of 207 (-3) ranked fourth in the field of 94 golfers. The Murfreesboro, Tenn. native finished in the top-five in the tournament in par-5 scoring (4.50, second), birdies (12, fourth) and par-4 scoring (3.94, fifth).

Nick Wolf tied Chumley for UT Martin's lowest Round 3 score, as he collected a pair of birdies on his way to a 69. Ross Redmont (73) sank two birdies while Cameron Smith (74) tied for the team lead with four birdies to complete the team scoring today.

Peyton Dix knocked in one birdie today while carding a 76 during today's final round. Playing as an individual, Shelden Barina rolled in four birdie putts before finishing with a 76 this morning.

UT Martin's lowest team round in the Raising Canes Intercollegiate came today as the Skyhawks combined for a 285 (+5). That performance lifted UT Martin up to a fifth-place finish in the final team standings with a 54-hole total of 865 (+25).

Redmont rounded out the tournament with a final score of 218 (+8), finishing third in the field in par-3 scoring (2.91, -1). Wolf was the next-highest finisher for UT Martin, as he rode a team-high 36 pars to a 220 (+10). Smith and Dix each finished with identical scores of 226 (+16) while Barina wrapped up his tournament with a 227 (+17) after finishing second in the field in par-5 scoring (4.50, -3).

The Skyhawks resume their fall schedule next week when they head to Madison, Ill. for the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invitational. The 54-hole tournament takes place on Sept. 24-25.
