
FIVE SKYHAWKS COLLECT FARNAM NCEA ALL-ACADEMIC ACCOLADES

MARTIN, Tenn. – A total of five University of Tennessee at Martin student-athletes were spotlighted as Farnam National Collegiate Equestrian Association All-Academic recipients, the organization announced today.
Jade Bleskey and Bobbie Piddock each boasted All-Academic first team status while the duo of Megan Aiosa and Randi LaChance were named to the All-Academic second team. Sydney Lintner also earned a spot on the All-Academic honorable mention squad.
First team participants must have competed in a minimum of 70 percent of their school's meets (not including demos or exhibitions) and must have earned a cumulative minimum Grade Point Average of 3.5 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring (2017) and fall (2017) semesters.
A sophomore out of Lakewood, Ill., Bleskey held a cumulative 3.53 GPA while majoring in agricultural communications and agricultural business. Piddock maintained a 3.81 cumulative GPA as the sophomore from Castro Valley, Calif. is majoring in agricultural business.
Second team honorees must have competed in a minimum of 60 percent of their school's meets (not including demos or exhibitions) and must have earned a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring (2017) and fall (2017) semesters.
Aiosa, a senior from Paris, Tenn., sported a 3.88 cumulative GPA while majoring in agriculture education. A sophomore hailing from Exeter, RI, LaChance accounted for a cumulative 3.32 GPA as a pre-veterinary medicine major.
A student-athlete on the honorable mention listing must have competed in a minimum of 50 percent of their school's meets (not including demos or exhibitions) and must have earned a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring (2017) and fall (2017) semester.
A junior from Wildwood, Mo., Lintner is majoring in management and held a 3.35 cumulative GPA over the past calendar year.
