SKYHAWK TENNIS WASHED OUT AT ALABAMA A&M; SET FOR ROBERTA ALISON FALL CLASSIC

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Today's scheduled tennis match between the University of Tennessee at Martin and Alabama A&M has been cancelled because of heavy rain in the area.
The Skyhawks are in the middle of a four-day swing through the state of Alabama, having opened their trip with a 5-2 victory at Alabama-Huntsville on Wednesday afternoon.
UT Martin wraps up its stay in the Yellowhammer State with a visit to the prestigious Roberta Alison Fall Classic in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 26-27. The Skyhawks join the stacked field of Air Force, host Alabama, Clemson, DePaul, East Carolina, Indiana, Kennesaw State, Kentucky, Lewis University, Memphis, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Samford, South Alabama, South Florida, Troy, Tulane, UAB, Western Michigan and Wisconsin.
The Roberta Alison Fall Classic consists of six-game sets in doubles and two out of three sets in doubles with no ad scoring. A total of eight UT Martin players will be in action over the two-day tournament, which begins at 9 a.m. each day.
The first round in singles features Asel Jumamukhambetova against Samford's Ariana Beltrame, Jemima Potter against Troy's Celia Montero Estevan, Andrea Plantada against Air Force's Meredith Laskey, Mizuki Sakurai against Tulane's Alex Alegre, Amelia Campbell against Lewis' Joie Reisch and Daphne Pratt against Troy's Maria Casas Blas. Jule Streif will compete in a three-player round robin tournament against Lewis' Sophie Davis and Samford's Amanda Kilduff.
First round doubles action includes Jumamukhambetova/Potter against Alabama's Moka Ito/Jacqueline Pelletier, Plantada/Campbell against DePaul's Keisha Clousing/Milica Tesic, Sakurai/Pratt against Troy's Montero Estevan/Chunxi Guo and Olha Burak/Streif against Lewis' Aleksandra Sredojevic/Reisch.
