Dallas Dickey enters his first season as an assistant coach at UT Martin since joining the staff in the spring of 2022, serving as the team’s wide receiver’s coach.
Before joining UT Martin, Dickey served as the offensively quality control coach at East Tennessee State University for four seasons from 2018-2021. During his tenure with the Bucs the program posted an 26-17 record while going 18-12 during conference play and earning a pair of berths to the NCAA Division I playoffs in 2018 and 2021.
Prior to his time in Johnson City, Tenn., he served as a graduate assistant at his alma mater West Georgia. During his time as a graduate assistant, Dickey helped coach five players who earned spots in NFL Mini Camps, two all-Americans, six all-conference players – the league’s Offensive Player of the Year – and four all-region selections.
Dickey was a four-year quarterback at West Georgia from 2012-15 where he played in 34 games. During his tenure he compiled school records in total yards (7,930), total plays (1,256), rushing yards (1,988), touchdowns (71), rushing touchdowns for a quarterback (20) and career wins (33) while also ranking third in passing yards (5,942). As a senior, Dickey earned all-American and all-conference honors, while leading West Georgia back-to-back NCAA Division II Super Region titles and appearances in the national semifinals. Off the field, he was a three-time all-academic selection.
