Important Information
All participants wishing to be considered for the teams MUST already be accepted to UTM and then a full time UTM student.
STUNT games will be in the Spring semester. All female athletes will compete for UTM. If you are unfamiliar with STUNT, please check out stuntthesport.org to see what it’s about!
UTM Athletics covers the cost of uniforms and other materials throughout the year including meals during doubleheader basketball games for the cheer athletes. Athletes will participate in team fundraisers such as apparel sales and clinics to meet a fundraiser goal to pay for all other costs.
Scholarships will be awarded to athletes each semester based on the number of years participating in athletics at UTM, grades, skills, and team positions such
as captains and social media handlers.
Tumbling skill minimum recommended requirements are standing back handspring(s) and roundoff series backhandsprings. Standing tucks and running back handspring tucks are ideal.
When attending recruitment clinics and practices, all candidates should wear an athletic shirt, athletic shorts, and cheer shoes. Ladies should have their hair
worn in a low ponytail with a ribbon or bow and appear “game day ready” with makeup and lipstick on. Males should wear a t-shirt or tank, athletic shorts, and tennis or cheer shoes. We will provide megaphones for males to use.
