BEFORE UTM: Prepped at Montgomery Bell Academy, where he was a standout linebacker for head coach Marty Euverard…Tallied 70 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and an interception as a senior, helping the Big Red to an 11-2 record and Division II-AA state championship, the school’s first since 2007…Had a team-high eight tackles while heading an MBA defense that forced four turnovers in its 10-7 win over Ensworth in the state title game…Was named to the 2014 all-state team by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association.
