MARTIN, Tenn. – Davi Remagen, a 6-4, 208-pound guard who spent last season at Georgia Tech, has committed to the University of Tennessee at Martin men's basketball program.
Hailing from Köln, Germany, Remagen was one of the most highly touted 2025 international recruits before seeing playing time in 11 games for the Yellow Jackets last season under head coach Damon Stoudamire. Remagen compiled 18 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists, 10 steals and a block over 118 minutes of playing time as a true freshman. He had four multi-steal performances, including his best all-around game on Jan. 14 against Atlantic Coast Conference rival Pittsburgh where he posted three points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in a career-high 20 minutes.
"I am so excited about Davi," Skyhawk head coach Jeremy Shulman said. "He is a player we've recruited for multiple years who fits perfectly here in our system as a 6-4 point guard with great vision, burst and athleticism. I am absolutely thrilled to coach him."
Remagen suited up for RheinStars Köln out of the German Pro Basketball League during the 2024-25 season, collecting averages of 9.9 points, 2.9 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals over 21 games. He played six contests against German-NBBL U19 competition, averaging 24.5 points and 6.8 assists in those outings.
In 2022-23, Remagen earned U16 Jugend Basketball Liga Most Valuable Player accolades while playing for the same RheinStars Köln organization, producing a whopping stat line of 31.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 2.7 steals per game. He was responsible for 46 points, 24 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals in the season opener against Giessen before helping pace the squad to the JBBL Final Four for the first time ever after producing his fourth triple-double of the season (36 points, 15 assists, 13 steals) against Jahn München in the league quarterfinals. He went off for 41 points, eight rebounds, five assists and six steals in the semifinals against ALBA Berlin in Frankfurt, Germany. Other monster performances from his 2022-23 MVP season included 49 points, seven rebounds and five steals against Leverkusen and 42 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and four steals against Frankfurt.
Remagen took part in the Adidas Next Generation EuroLeague event, garnering all-tournament honors after tallying 15.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists in those four contests. He shot 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from three-point land and 80 percent (12-of-15) from the free throw line for Team Ulm in that U18 tournament, held in February 2025 in his home country of Germany.
On an international level, Remagen was part of the German National Team during the 2023 FIBA U16 EuroBasket Championship held in Skopje, North Macedonia. He accounted for 14.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.1 steals per outing, including a breakout 27-point outburst with five assists, four rebounds and three steals on Aug. 12 against Greece. He also racked up 21 points and eight rebounds in the Aug. 6 group phase outing against Spain.
Remagen boasts a rich athletic family background as he is the great nephew of Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as soccer legend Pelé.
The sixth signee for the 2026-27 UT Martin campaign, Remagen joins Reid Conley (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Armandas Bancevicius (Kaunas, Lithuania), Gabrielius Bubnys (Marijampolė, Lithuania), Nikola Janicic (Skopje, North Macedonia) and Giorgi Sulaberidze (Kutaisi, Georgia). The Skyhawks are coming off a 22-win season (tied for the most in program history) and their third appearance in the Ohio Valley Conference Championship semifinals in the past four seasons, ranking in the top-25 nationally in seven different statistical categories.
