GREENWOOD, Ind. – Redshirt junior Kenley McCarn of the University of Tennessee at Martin women's basketball team has been named as a 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree, the organization recently announced.
Of the 12 Ohio Valley Conference women's basketball student-athletes to earn the award, McCarn was one of just two named as a finalist for one of three Academic All-America teams, along with Lindenwood's Aleshia Jones.
McCarn graduated in December with a degree in business administration and a 3.98 GPA. She is currently pursuing her master's in business administration. She is a three-time All-Ohio Valley Conference selection, including first-team nods in 2023-24 and 2025-26 and is just one of seven players in program history to score 1,500 career points.
The Melbourne, Arkansas native led the Skyhawks in scoring and finished the 2025-26 regular season fourth in the OVC with 15.8 points per game. She recorded double-digits in points in 28 of 30 games for UT Martin this season. On Jan. 17 at home against Lindenwood, she set a new career-high of 40 points, becoming the first Skyhawk to hit the 40-point mark since 2019.
The 2025-26 CSC Women's Basketball Academic All-America teams will be announced on April 15.
