Skyhawks Stockpile Talent With 2026 Signing Class

MARTIN, Tenn. – University of Tennessee at Martin head football coach Jason Simpson has announced a large star-studded class of freshmen and transfers to compose its decorated Class of 2026 on National Signing Day.
Combining both the early and regular signing periods, the Skyhawks received commitments from 47 players, including 19 players on offense, 27 on defense and one on special teams. UT Martin added two quarterbacks, two running backs, seven wide receivers, four tight ends, four offensive linemen, eight defensive linemen, eight linebackers, 11 defensive backs and one specialist.
"In today's modern football climate, this is going to be the new normal when you have a large senior class," Simpson said. "Thankfully we had fewer players that we lost to the portal this year, but the staff worked hard in December and January with the one portal window to continue to build our program and give our fans a product to be proud of. I learn more about this team every day with so many new players already on campus and we will get to know then better with every workout and throughout spring camp."
The Skyhawks added 16 freshmen while bringing in 31 transfers from JUCO, NAIA, Division II, FCS and FBS levels.

Combining both the early and regular signing periods, the Skyhawks received commitments from 47 players, including 19 players on offense, 27 on defense and one on special teams. UT Martin added two quarterbacks, two running backs, seven wide receivers, four tight ends, four offensive linemen, eight defensive linemen, eight linebackers, 11 defensive backs and one specialist.
"In today's modern football climate, this is going to be the new normal when you have a large senior class," Simpson said. "Thankfully we had fewer players that we lost to the portal this year, but the staff worked hard in December and January with the one portal window to continue to build our program and give our fans a product to be proud of. I learn more about this team every day with so many new players already on campus and we will get to know then better with every workout and throughout spring camp."
The Skyhawks added 16 freshmen while bringing in 31 transfers from JUCO, NAIA, Division II, FCS and FBS levels.
