MURRAY Ky. – The 2025-26 campaign came to an end for the 20^th-ranked University of Tennessee at Martin rifle team Saturday at the NCAA Qualifier at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range in Murray, Kentucky. The Skyhawks shot a 2278 in smallbore and a 2334 in air rifle for an aggregate of 4612.

In smallbore, Joey Kovach led the way with a 575, followed by Sophia Ashford with a 572. Rachel Haines was next in line for the Skyhawks with a 568, while Olivia Harvey and Aubrey Chenoweth rounded out the scoring at 563 and 559, respectively.

In air rifle, Kovach once again took the lead with a 586, while Chenoweth was right behind, firing a 585. Sophia Ashford finished the gun with a 582 with Olivia Harvey shooting a 579 and Jeffrey Bourassa turning in a 568. Rachel Haines ended her day in air rifle with a new career-high at 581 and also set a new personal best in aggregate at 1144.

"This season has been full of ups and downs, but I'm so proud of the way we met every challenge head-on," said interim head coach Alyana Walther. "I am especially proud of our three seniors, Aubrey, Jeff and Joey and know they will excel in whatever they choose to do next."
