Xoinis Continues Participation In NCAA Regional At Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. – University of Tennessee at Martin redshirt senior Jonathan Xoinis took part in the second round of the NCAA Golf Regional today, finishing the day with a 78 (+6) in the event hosted by Auburn.
Xoinis was responsible for 11 pars and one birdie in Round 2, also dialing up a pair of highlight-reel shots. He sank a 65-foot par putt on Hole No. 7 and hit an approach shot from 202 yards out to within a foot of the pin for a tap-in birdie on Hole No. 9.
On the day, Xoinis played the par-3's to a 3.25 scoring average (+1) and the par-4's to a 4.10 scoring average (+1). The par-5 holes proved to be difficult for the entire field today as Xoinis played those to a 6.00 scoring average (+4).
For the tournament, Xoinis owns a score of 152 (+8), which ranks 60th in the field. The 2025 Ohio Valley Conference co-medalist ranks in the top-25 in the tournament in fewest double bogeys or worse (two, 11th), par-4 scoring average (4.10, 17th) and pars (24, 22nd).
No. 1 ranked Auburn (-19) will take an 18-shot lead in the team standings into tomorrow's third and final round while Kennesaw State's Claes Borregaard's 8-under performance is one stroke clear of second place in the individual standings.
Xoinis will begin Round 3 on Hole No. 1 tomorrow, teeing off at 9:31 a.m. in a three-man pairing featuring Ross Wright (USC Upstate) and Xing Luo (North Alabama).
