Christian Dowell Signs With Denver Broncos

MARTIN, Tenn. – Following the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft, University of Tennessee at Martin nose tackle Christian Dowell received his own professional opportunity by signing an undrafted free agent contract with the Denver Broncos.
Dowell, a 6-2 nose tackle from Memphis, Tenn., will join the Broncos at the team's rookie minicamp in May and fight for a spot on the team's roster throughout the offseason. He garnered All-American honors from FCS Football Central while picking up all-conference honors from the Big South-OVC Football Association after starting in all 14 games for the Skyhawks. He concluded the season with 29 total tackles and three tackles for loss. His best games this season came against Missouri State and Tennessee Tech when he recorded four tackles each – including a season-best 2.0 TFLs against the Golden Eagles.
A four-time conference champion, Dowell compiled 63 total tackles while registering 5.5 tackles for loss throughout his career. He also tabulated four passes defended while finishing the 2024 regular season as the highest rated FCS nose tackle in the country according to PFF.
