
13 Skyhawks Earn Phil Steele All-Conference Honors

MARTIN, Tenn. – More postseason honors have trickled in as the University of Tennessee at Martin football team saw 13 of its standouts garner all-conference honors by Phil Steele.
Headlining the honors was consensus All-American defensive end Keyshawn Johnson being selected as the publication's OVC-Big South Defensive Player of the Year, mirroring the Association's postseason honors. He also garnered his fifth All-American selection of the postseason with a first team honor.
UT Martin had five players earn all-conference first team honors. The offensive unit was represented by offensive center Josiah Tingley. Defensively the squad was headlined by Johnson along with defensive back JaMichael McGoy, Jr. The specialists tandem of kicker Cade Hechter and long snapper Hayden King rounded out the first team selections.
Earning a spot on the second team was offensive tackle Jai'Lun Hampton, safety Jacob Stevenson and kick returner Dazalin Worsham.
The third team honored quarterback Jase Bauer and offensive tackle Elijah Bowser. The squads were rounded out with fourth team selections for nose tackle Toby Camp and linebackers Tah Mac Bright Banda and Shamari Weir.
