2025 Skyhawk FCS Postseason Awards Tracker

MARTIN, Tenn. – Keep up with all of the postseason All-American awards for the University of Tennessee at Martin football team throughout the offseason.

To date, two Skyhawks have garnered All-American honors with postseason recognitions for offensive tackle Elijah Bowser and edge rusher Keyshawn Johnson. The group has been honored by both the Associated Press and FCS Football Central.

Elijah Bowser | Offensive Tackle

FCS AP All-American (honorable mention)

A two-year starter on the offensive line, Bowser continued his impressive work with the BossHogs. During his Skyhawk career, he started every game and proved to be versatile on the line with 23 starts at right tackle and three at right guard. He played in 778 snaps this season while earning a pair of BossHog Player of the Week honors. The Houston, Texas native graded out at 84 percent or better in every game while tallying 72 knockdowns. He was directly responsible for just three sacks on the season while protecting a quarterback which ranked fifth nationally in completion percentage (71.2 percent).

Keyshawn Johnson | Edge Rusher

A historic season resulted in OVC-Big South Defensive Player of the Year and all-conference first team honors for Keyshawn Johnson. The Belle Glade, Fla. native was a menace for opposing offenses as he capped the regular season by ranking third nationally in sacks (1.13/game) and tackles for loss (1.67/game). Overall, he established a new UT Martin single-season sacks record (13.5), including five over his last three games and eight over his final five contests of the season. He tallied 20.0 total tackles for loss, including 3.5 in the season finale against nationally ranked Tennessee Tech. In that contest he added a career-high 10 tackles to earn OVC-Big South Defensive Player of the Week honors – his second of the season. He finished the campaign with 53 total tackles (30 solo), two forced fumbles and 10 quarterback hurries. Johnson had multiple sacks in four different games and multiple tackles for loss in seven contests, including 2.0 each against a pair of FBS foes in Oklahoma State and Missouri State. He becomes just the fourth player in UT Martin history to earn his conference's defensive player of the year honor, joining former standouts Danny Watkins (1976), Emanuel McNeil (1988) and John H. Ford II (2022).
