SKYHAWKS DISPLAY IMPROVED SCORES ACROSS THE BOARD ON SECOND DAY AT PEOPLE’S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The University of Tennessee at Martin showed vast improvement on Day 2 of the People's Golf Championship today, trimming 23 strokes off its previous round at Sea Palms Golf Club.
The Skyhawks shot a 291 (+7) on the par-71 course today, shifting their overall 36-hole tally to 598 (+30).
The duo of Ethan Ray and Dax Isbell guided UT Martin on the day, each shooting a 70 (-1) with four birdies apiece while Ray tacked on one of two Skyhawk eagles in Round 2. Jonathan Xoinis posted a 73 with three birdies and an eagle while Grant Phillips generated UT Martin's final countable score (78 with three birdies).
Jacob Uehlein was also part of the Skyhawk scoring lineup, tallying an 80 with one birdie. Playing as an individual, Luke Caldwell dropped in three birdies on the way to a one-over 72.
For the tournament, Ray and Isbell boast the best score (147) on the squad. Caldwell's 150 is next in line and is followed by Phillips (152), Xoinis (156) and Uehlein (159).
The third and final round takes place on Saturday morning.
