UT MARTIN WINS UNITED SOCCER COACHES COLLEGE TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- This week, the United Soccer Coaches published their College Team Academic Award winners and the University of Tennessee at Martin earned a spot on the prestigious list. This award recognizes soccer teams across the country for their work in the classroom over the 2022-23 academic year.

UT Martin was named one of the recipients of the award for achieving a team Grade Point Average of 3.34. The Skyhawks were one of 812 soccer teams who earned higher than a 3.0 GPA in the most recent school year.

Just over a week ago it was announced that UT Martin had 13 players named to the 2022-23 Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, achieving at least a 3.25 GPA. That list included a trio of Skyhawks who received OVC Medals of Honor for a perfect 4.0 GPA (Catey Hunt, Izzy Patterson, Hannah Zahn).

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
