
UT MARTIN ATHLETICS TO PARTNER WITH ZETA TAU ALPHA FOR PINK WEEKEND

MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin department of athletics and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is proud to join forces with Zeta Tau Alpha Delta Mu for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Fans can be a part of the inaugural Pink Weekend from Friday, Oct. 13 through Sunday, Oct. 15 by purchasing an exclusive UTM Athletics "Think Pink" t-shirt.
Shirts will be available at this weekend's Skyhawk equestrian, volleyball and soccer home matches for a suggested minimum donation of $10 apiece. All of the proceeds raised through t-shirt sales and additional donations will go toward Zeta Tau Alpha's "Chemo Care Kits", which will go to benefit local families battling breast cancer. Shirts will be sold Friday at equestrian's 10 a.m. home meet against No. 2 Auburn and volleyball's 6 p.m. match against Western Illinois. Fans can also purchase the shirts at volleyball's 2 p.m. match against Western Illinois on Saturday and soccer's 1 p.m. match against Southern Indiana on Sunday.
In addition, UT Martin's chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha will be on hand at games to collect donations for Chemo Care Kits. Suggested donations for the Chemo Care kits include chapstick, fuzzy socks, blankets, reusable shopping bags, pocket notebooks, cough drops, Aquaphor healing ointment, toothbrushes, mouth wash, hard candy (peppermints, LifeSavers, etc.), diaper rash cream, nail polish, chewing gum, head scarfs, thermometers, drink mixes, anti-nausea wristbands, reusable water bottles and word searches/crossword puzzles.
Zeta Tau Alpha's main philanthropy is Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. The organization partners with Think Pink, The American Cancer Society and the National Football League.
