UT MARTIN MEN’S BASKETBALL MATCHUP AT TENNESSEE STATE PICKED UP BY ESPNEWS

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The Ohio Valley Conference announced its annual ESPN linear basketball schedule today and the University of Tennessee at Martin men's basketball team will be featured in the first of 10 showcase games in 2021-22.
The Skyhawks' road contest at Tennessee State on Thursday, Jan. 6 was selected as part of the league's national television package. Tipoff from the Gentry Center in Nashville, Tenn. has now been adjusted to a 6 p.m. start time as the game will air on ESPNews.
All in all, seven OVC regular season games will be aired on the ESPN family of networks. Following UT Martin's matchup at Tennessee State will be SIUE at Eastern Illinois on Jan. 13 (ESPNU), SIUE at Tennessee Tech women's basketball on Jan. 20 (ESPNU), Belmont at Morehead State on Jan. 20 (ESPNews), Morehead State at Southeast Missouri on Jan. 27 (ESPNU), Austin Peay at Murray State on Feb. 17 (ESPNU) and Belmont at Murray State on Feb. 24 (ESPNU).
Additionally, the final two rounds of the 2022 OVC Championship will be broadcasted live on national television. The two semifinal contests on March 4 will be aired on ESPNU while the finals on March 5 will be carried on ESPN2.
Today's announcement gives the Skyhawks three nationally televised games on the 2021-22 docket. UT Martin will play on SEC Network at No. 17 Tennessee in the Nov. 9 season opener before an ESPNU contest at No. 17 Ohio State on Dec. 21.
The Skyhawks are also tentatively scheduled to appear on ESPN3 or ESPN+ streaming services 23 times this season – including all home and OVC games. Overall, over 200 regular season OVC games and home regular season non-conference contests will be streamed on ESPN+ in 2021-22.
