MARTIN, Tenn. – Quintin Dove, who chalked up All-Ohio Valley Conference honors for the University of Tennessee at Martin in back-to-back seasons from 2018-20, has signed his first professional contract with the Tbilisi State University organization based in the country of Georgia.
Dove joins the Tbilisi State University roster as the 11-team Georgian Superliga just began their regular season schedule on Oct. 18. TSU is coached by Leqso Lapanashvili and the squad is in a three-way tie for first place in the league standings with a 2-0 record so far during the 2020-21 campaign.
A Cleveland, Ohio native, Dove was the only NCAA Division I player to average at least 20 points and seven rebounds per game while shooting better than 78 percent from the free throw line in 2019-20. He led the OVC in scoring during conference play (22.3 points per game) and overall ranked in the top-10 in the league in scoring (20.2 points per game, second), rebounding (7.9 per game, third), minutes played (33.7 per game, fifth), free throw percentage (.782, sixth) and field goal percentage (.565, seventh).
Dove was named to the All-OVC first team during his senior season after nabbing second team status in 2018-19. He became just the third player in Skyhawk history to earn both All-OVC first and second team accolades in a career.
During his UT Martin tenure, Dove scored 997 points on 57.8 percent shooting while hauling in 390 rebounds over 60 career games under head coach Anthony Stewart.
