Glass compiled impressive statistics in his two-year career as an outfielder with the Pacer baseball team.
He led the Gulf South Conference in hitting in both seasons with UTM, hitting .455 in his junior year and coming back with a .436 average his senior season. He was a second-team All-American in 1975 and was a unanimous All-GSC choice both seasons. He was also team MVP two years.
He was the first baseball player in university history to receive the H.K. Grantham Memorial Award. He was the Black Student Association's Athlete of the Year in 1975.
