Ron Schomaker

Schomaker was a two-year regular at fullback for UTM and is regarded as one of the top fullbacks in school history. He concluded his senior year with a rushing average of 5.5 yards a carry, leading the team to a 7-3 record with all the losses coming against nationally-ranked opponents.
He was selected as Mid-South Athletic Conference Player of the Week during his UTM career. He was the state long jump champion along with earning all-state honors in football.
He served as graduate assistant coach in 1971-72 at UTM.
