Richard Craven enjoyed one of the most outstanding seasons in the school's baseball history in 1985 when he earned All-American honors at shortstop and set several single season school records.
He helped lead the team to a then-season record for wins (36) and final national ranking of 13th in NCAA Division II. He led the Gulf South Conference in batting with a .484 average.
