Ray Williams competed from 2005-08, putting UT Martin football back on the map by helping the team to its first conference championship during the Division I era in 2006. The Demopolis, Ala. native was named an All-American and All-OVC first team defensive lineman in 2008 while also earning an all-conference second team nod in 2007. He finished his career with 137 total tackles, including 58 solo stops, while racking up 16.5 tackles for loss. The defensive stopper led the team in sacks in each of his final two seasons while racking up 9.5 sacks for his career. Additionally, he added eight quarterback hurries, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. After his career with the Skyhawks, he went on to become a world-renowned powerlifter, setting numerous world records.
