Williams was a four-year performer as a guard for the basketball team. An all-around athlete, he was also a three-year catcher for the UTM baseball team.

A quick and hustling performer, he was one of the smallest players on the team. He averaged in double figures each of his final two seasons while being the team's outstanding defender.
