Joella Ross Presson was the first person in UT Martin history to letter four years in the sport of rifle. She was a team captain her junior and senior seasons and led the team to its first conference title her senior year. In 1983, Ross Presson won the Gulf South Conference individual championship and was named to the All-GSC team. She set two conference records during her tenure.
