Jim Swope

Swope was a three-year basketball letterman who later coached the UTM baseball team for a couple of stints totaling four seasons.
He was an All-Illinois basketball player. As the UTM baseball coach, he led the team to a 19-3 record and Volunteer State Athletic Conference baseball title in 1968 and later to an appearance to the NCAA Mid-East Regional Tournament in 1972.
