Page led the golf team through three major challenges. The first came when he started the program in 1967and almost immediately established it as a Division II golfing force. He coached the team to five Tennessee Intercollegiate championships and a pair of national rankings. After the decision was made to discontinue the program in the mid-1970's, Page was asked to restart the program in 1981. He quickly moved forward and soon had a nationally ranked program. The third challenge came when UT martin moved to the NCAA Division I and gained membership in the Ohio Valley Conference. UT Martin has made eight appearances in the NCAA team championships under Page. He has coached seven golfers who have received All-America recognition.
