Tabor enjoyed two successful seasons with the UT Martin basketball team. He averaged 16.4 points a game during the period and was on teams that posted a 30-10 record.
He was the team's outstanding ball handler, rebounder and MVP award recipient his final year. He transferred to Murray State after his sophomore year and was an All-Ohio Valley Conference pick in 1957.
