In the team’s most recent matchup, UT Martin picked up an 82-72 road victory at league rival SIUE. The Skyhawks led for much of the contest behind a balanced scoring attack which saw five players score in double figures. Senior guard Jessy Ward led the team with a season-high 22 points – including shooting 7-of-9 from the field while knocking down five trifectas. Myah Taylor ranked second on the team with 19 points while the trio of Janekia Mason (13 points), Kendall Spray (12 points) and Emanye Robertson (10 points) rounded out the Skyhawks in double figures.
Southeast Missouri (12-14, 6-7 OVC) heads into the weekend as winners of three of its last four contests including a pair of victories over SIUE and Eastern Illinois last week. In the team’s most recent contest, the Redhawks pulled off a commanding 42-point road victory at Eastern Illinois behind a school-record 17 three-pointers.
The Redhawks are led by senior forward Olivia Hackmann who averages 15.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per contest. The duo of Bri Mitchell (14.8 ppg, 5.0 apg) and Hannah Noe (11.5 ppg) also average in double figures while sophomore guard Adrianna Murphy leads the OVC with 6.1 assists per game.
