CHAPEL HILL, NC - Making its fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance, the University of Tennessee at Martin women’s basketball team has reached its destination on the verge of its first round matchup with North Carolina on Sunday, March 23.
The Ohio Valley Conference Tournament champion Skyhawks flew out of Barkley Regional Airport in Paducah, Ky. this morning, leaving at 8:15 a.m. The team touched down at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport in Raleigh at 9:35 a.m. ET and is currently settled in at the team hotel headquarters.
UT Martin held a light practice today at 1:30 p.m. ET and will take part in official NCAA Tournament protocol tomorrow. Head coach Kevin McMillan will hold a press conference from 2:30 to 3 p.m., followed by a Skyhawk practice at Carmichael Arena from 3:20 to 4:50 p.m.
The Skyhawks will then make final preparations before battling the Tar Heels at 2:05 p.m. CT on Sunday. The game can be seen exclusively on ESPN.
